Ceiling Speakers & Existing Systems · Calgary

Your house came with speakers. Let’s turn them on.

Plenty of Calgary homes were pre-wired or fitted with ceiling speakers by a builder or previous owner, and nobody left instructions. We trace what is in the walls, tell you what it can actually do and hook it up to equipment you will really use.

What we install

A complete system, not a box drop.

  • Assessment of existing speakers and wiring
  • Amplifier and streaming hookup, including Sonos
  • Room-by-room zone control
  • Repair or replacement of dead speakers
  • Adding rooms to the existing wiring
  • Labelling, tuning and a plain-language handover

Who this is for

Homeowners, builders and renovators who care about the finished room and want one accountable crew handling the low-voltage work.

New build or retrofit

Open walls give us the most freedom, but finished homes are not off the table. We assess cable routes, access and finish risk before recommending the least disruptive route.

What we prevent

Wrong mounting heights, buried service points, overheated equipment, weak network foundations, unlabelled wiring and hardware chosen before the room has been considered.

Installation process

Measured, coordinated and tested.

01

Room + plan review

We confirm use, dimensions, finishes, routes and construction timing.

02

Install + coordinate

The same crew works through wire, equipment, rack and finish details.

03

Calibrate + hand over

Every connection is tested; the system is tuned, labelled and explained.

Common questions

Ceiling Speakers & Existing Systems FAQ

What are the round grilles in my ceiling?

Almost always in-ceiling speakers from an earlier install. We identify what is there, check the wiring behind them and tell you what they can do before you spend anything.

There is a bundle of speaker wire in a closet. Is it usable?

Usually, yes. Unterminated wire in a closet or utility room is typically a whole-home audio pre-wire. We trace it, test it and terminate it properly.

Do I need a receiver in every room?

No. Most homes run every zone from one central amplifier location, with app or keypad control in each room.

Can you make them work with Sonos?

Yes. Existing ceiling speakers can be driven by Sonos amplifiers, so each room shows up in the app like any other Sonos speaker.
